Babe, you don’t need to collect more certifications.

Let’s get real here,

Proving yourself by collecting certifications is like practicing magic only at Hogwarts for the rest of your life. You’re still practicing magic, sure, but at some point you’re gonna want to get beyond the campus bounds and know what you’re made of.

This school is not a “FoLLow My EXaCt BluEpRInt,” replicate me, pedestal me kind of school.

This is a “hang out long enough to discern how you are ALREADY the modality” model. It’s a FORMATIONAL process, as in, the things inside of you will be rearranged by being in a space that is frequentially attuned to sovereignty, discovery, imagination and true care.

We live in a time where care has been professionalized, institutionalized, and outsourced to systems — and what we NEED are Elders. Aunties. Healers. Creatives. Peer mentors.
People who cultivate wisdom while living ordinary lives alongside those they tend.

We miss this kind of care — even if we don’t always have language for it. We crave belonging. We crave direct experience, not just ritual. We crave humanity with our care, care that is relational and that doesn’t rush outcomes, but holds space for us to arrive at our own soul’s answers. We crave something outside of boxes and squares.

This School exists to restore that orientation.

Most programs in the current western context employ what I call, “the Bob Dylan effect.” Everyone in a square looking up to elevated stage where one dude is doing his thing. In fact, it’s all squares right now. You’re reading this on a square.

Here, we sit in a circle. Shoulder to shoulder. No one above, no one below. Each person is honored as a teacher of lived experience. Every voice matters. Every module offers a potent direction, and is met collectively. Circle work relies on each person holding their own, while simultaneously being with others. It’s essential to position ourselves in community contexts where there is a diversity of voices giving shape and experience to spiritual wisdom, rather than only encountering wisdom as theory or philosophy.

The apprenticeships are formational at their core. They are designed to support people in becoming trustworthy stewards of care, insight, and presence both 1:1 and in community.

And, a big part of my personal calling is to support others thriving, and elevating emotional, mental, and spiritual labor up from being chronically undervalued. This School exists, in part, to help reestablish more widespread recognition of the VALUE of the subtle labors — internally, relationally, and materially.

As participants mature into their own offerings and modailties, practical considerations naturally arise. While this school is more about the back end development than about business optimization, it does not pretend those realities don’t exist. I bring over twenty years of lived practice building a sustainable, values-aligned body of work — and I share what I know openly, without hierarchy or pretense. Not as a formula, but as transmission. And again, not to replicate my path, but to support each person in discerning their own.

These paths are self initiated. The call is already there, and together we bring it more to the forefront.

We need more folks willing to expand their capacity for meeting these wild times with creativity, kindness, true care, sovereignty and HOPE (vision with expectancy that those visions are not only possible, but already here.)

We need more folks willing to expand their capacity for staying with transformation as it’s unfolding instead of collapsing care into adage.

We need more folks willing to be “hearts with ears,” to hold others hearts, to learn the languages of inner life, and to sit with both the potency and the ordinariness of spiritual life.

If this is you — if you are willing to lean into the call and emerge ready to collaboratively lead the changing of the guard, let’s talk.

There is a great need for peer based care.

The School emerged in 2021 from two potent truths:

The need for such formational processes, particularly one practiced in egalitarian authority, to be available within the current western context.

And, the readiness of folks in my practice, some who have walked beside me for over a decade, to step into formational process to be peer companions and inter-spiritual community ministers.

  • The Pillars

This is what we’re all about

  • Community is a practice

To re-member community, we need to bring ourselves into spaces that expand our capacity for being beside people who are different than us, who challenge us, and who are also committed to dignity, kindness and respect.

True community holds conflict, tension and thrives with diversity.

And — true community happens outside of the curated spaces when people reach out to each other in meaningful ways. Because there’s money and intentional design involved in my practice, you’ll often hear me say that we’re PRACTICING community beside each other — and encourage folks to reach out and connect more organically outside of meetings if called.

  • Everyone is a teacher of experience

Groups need facilitation, a person or group of folks that are stewarding the energy, bringing potent offerings and holding responsibility and care for when tensions and conflict arise — and more.
And — a piece that needs restoration in the current context are places where everyone is heard, called upon, and valued in their presence and contributions to the whole.

    Everyone speaks within every meeting.

You’ll be asked to speak your name and offer words for a check in/out, and called upon to offer your perspective and stories of experience within the open floor time.

Check in’s and check out’s are INCREDIBLY potent when treated as a place to really learn from each other. This is an ancient practice, and one that situates the ego in a new place, because there’s no cross talk and it’s a practice to really listen more than speak.

We BECOME the presence of presence and affirm the more beautiful world we know is possible more and more each time we practice hearing the teachings of our peers — and practice making offerings that GIVE to the circle, rather than take.

  • Consent

It’s imperative that we re-member how to walk with utmost care of others, their wisdom, their timing, their magic, their wellness in all ways.

This has to include our more-than-human kin.

We are peers walking beside each other.

We practice ALWAYS asking before offering suggestions, advice, reflections, and stories of experience -- and await explicit and earnest consent.

We strive to not just take from the circle, but to give to it as well.

It’s a great honor to steward the inner life beside another, and we practice this with great care.

  • Emergent

We come together here to cultivate keen awareness of our interior lives so that we bring our unique gifts and voice to the world as it’s in an emergent unfolding.

This requires all participants to be willing to be curious, experimental and responsive to what becomes evident through process and encounter. Rather than having “the answer,” we practice consciously cultivating trust in our ability to respond (responsibly) with who or what is before us, including that which is more-than-human.

We simply don’t know where we are going — and though that can be tender at times, there’s a lot of room for possibility. We aim to actively engage in, and be of service to the unfolding of the beautiful world we know is possible.

In addition, this kind of work pulls on threads and traditions of the past — and, is in response to the needs of who and how we are RIGHT NOW. Spiritual direction is an ancient practice that is transcultural, and we have the opportunity to reclaim it as a peer based, egalitarian model of power and practice.

  • Decolonial

We practice spiritual and alchemical care in ways that affirm the voice and sovereignty of all involved. The spirituality of this school is in a stance of practice regarding divesting from power-over models of spiritual authority. No one knows you better than you — and we practice holding space as peers.

In this house we aim to do more than reject or condemn the colonial stance of the current western context, we transmute, transform and create through practicing ancient circle technology as a way of staying keen to the pace of metabolism of harder, more activating subjects. The aim is to stay present to truth and patiently persist in both unraveling and rebuilding.

Perfect? No. In ever evolving practice beside each other.

  • Conscious Impact

We create explicit agreements within each space within my practice that support all participants in knowing how to honor the space and each other. An important aspect of the work of true community is cultivating resiliency and presence in both calling others in, and being called in, in challenge and in celebration, with willingness to have ears to hear the heart of what’s being reflected about our impact.

  • Sacred

The conversations in my practice are not casual, “coffee shop” conversations.

We’re not here to skate on the surface. We’re here to get into the waters underneath the waters.

That means that when you speak a bold truth, we’re gonna take a breath with that, and not let it dissipate into the void. It’ll be activating sometimes, particularly if you’re set on telling the story in every gory detail.

The thing that makes it sacred is not incense and robes. It’s sacred because we’re really there. And that can be deeply confronting, and definitely takes some getting used to. We pause a lot. We breath. We wriggle like little worms. We moan. We respond when something’s real and here.

  • Experiential

This work is field work. It requires active participation and a willingness to practice and be called in and out from under any rocks your gifts have been hiding!

There’s practicum in Soul Friend and The Alchemy Apprenticeship. There’s assignments that require you to speak with authority on a subject, or extemporaneously share what you know.

These programs are “formational” learning programs. It’s about BECOMING more of yourself. The skill building of these modalities begins in the first meeting, and will go as deep and be as transformative as you allow this process to be.

You initiate yourself in — and you can initiate yourself out. I am not here to replicate my modality, style or teachings within you. I am here to share from my deep well, and offer you space, mirroring, practices and peers to assist you in amplifying the calling that brought you here.

If and as you step into this school, know that there’s no hiding in the back. There IS no back of the room, haha! Your voice, visions, teachings are so valuable, and you will be called upon to share what you know.

What People Are Saying

“The Alchemy Apprenticeship introduced me to who I am, who I have always been, and into ways to further myself in spiritual practice and in community assistance.

Meg offers an awakened opportunity for you to find your footing and trajectory on your spiritual path that leads you towards your own self-discovery and awareness.”

“Before working with Meg, I was deeply entrenched in patriarchal expectations of living — I sought external validation and had deep control issues. I was working 1-2 jobs and dreaded it. After working with her, I am tapped into the deep well within, enriched with my own connection with Earth, ancestors, inner authority and my Art.

The Alchemy Apprenticeship has been the deepest community and has been truly profound.

“Meg is so down to Earth. And I don't have to worry about fluffy spiritual speak. Getting to move through the seasons of my life with her companionship - rooted in Earth and fully embodied and practiced indigenous teaching - has opened my eyes, ears, and heart in a way that I have never experienced with other teachers. Meg's wisdom and teachings comes from the ground up. It's rooted. It's real. It's deeply humbling.

There is nothing, literally nothing, that I can't bring to Meg. (She) has investigated her own shadows so deeply and beautifully, that makes me know in my bones that all of me is welcome. I don't have to hide. ANYTHING. The circle work I've done with Meg has had a huge impact on the way that I understand myself, and relate to others. Learning to experience myself not just as "in" a group, but "as" group. Just as I'm writing this I'm wondering, how did I get SO lucky?
